MER has delivered airport security and communication capabilities in Mexico as part of its global airport portfolio, including projects at Cancun Airport and Felipe Ángeles Airport. These deployments align with MER’s holistic airport approach integrating command and control, surveillance and security systems, and secure interoperability to support coordinated response and efficient operations.

Mer implemented security and communication systems at Ezeiza International Airport, including the first-ever deployment of the Smart M system-establishing an early benchmark for integrated airport protection and communications.

MER delivered system engineering, supply, installation and maintenance for a complex, integrated solution: Smart M C&C, intelligent CCTV, PA/EVAC, ACS, smart fence and advanced sensors, master clock, cellular/communications masts, and holistic management software. The scope aligned design, implementation, and operations to create a resilient, future ready airport platform.

The fourth and final part of the Smart City series focuses on the importance of strong and efficient communication technologies—both wired and wireless—for the reliable, real-time transfer of information between end devices, command and control centers, field forces, and various municipal departments.
